Matt Devereux left his home of Canada when he was 19 to travel the world. He did just that, living for years in India, England and Greece… but then he went somewhere which would change his life forever…
He went to Oktoberfest!
Upon discovering beer that didn´t give you a headache and some of the most beautiful women he had ever encountered. Matt got a job putting up posters and thought he would stay for a few months to collect some money for his future travels. Matt is now 53!
He soon found Germany suited him and… over time… decided he didn´t really want to live anywhere else. Although he now eats vollkorn bread and drinks fizzy water. Matt has remained Canadian in his thinking and outlook… but has slowly accustomed himself to the German way of life…. but despite having a German wife and daughter, it does not mean that he understands the Deutsche way of thinking… thus, he has spent the last 25 years compiling all the oddities, and strange occurrences that the Deutsche culture has provided him with to create
„Germish“
a show based on his experiences, questions and befuddlements that he has discovered in the last 33 years in this alien land he has chosen to call home!
In „Germish“ Matt will ask questions you have never asked yourself… like.. why are Germans always late for something when they ask
